The KitchenAid Professional 600 series 6 quart stand mixer comes in a variety of colors, though one of the most popular is the nickel pearl. The mixer itself is a sight to behold. All metal with 10 speeds, the stand mixer boasts a powerful 575 watt motor for all your mixing needs. The 6-quart stainless steel mixing bowl is easily detached for cleaning and has a direct drive transmission. Impressed so far? There is an abundance of additional features that makes this mixer stand apart from other manufacturers' models.

Not only is the KitchenAid 600 series a great looking stand mixer, it is very functional and easy to use. The mixer is equipped with not only an electronic speed sensor but also an automatic shut-off function and a soft start that minimizes splatter of your batter! Although the mixer does not have a tilt up head, it does have the beloved bowl lift function which raises the mixing bowl to the mixing position. The mixer body also comes with a spiral dough hook, pouring shield, and wire whip whisk, and a burnished flat beater for a variety of recipes.

Let's take a look at the features of KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6 Quart Stand Mixer:

  • All-metal 10-speed stand mixer with powerful 575-watt motor
  • 6-quart stainless-steel mixing bowl; direct-drive transmission
  • Electronic speed sensor; auto shut-off; Soft Start minimizes splatter
  • Wire whip, burnished flat beater, spiral dough hook, and pouring shield included

Designed to last, the 600 series is constructed completely of metal, so there is no chance of cracked, warped, or discolored plastic as the machine ages. So, it will look just as good on your countertop years down the road as it does today! Not only will it look good, the mixer is a little workhorse. It can easily and effectively mix up to 14 cups of flour without hesitation. If you need mashed potatoes for a crowd, the 600 series can make up to 8 pounds of mashed potatoes all in one fell swoop.

If you want to buy these stand mixers, I highly recommend you buy them through Amazon here. You won’t find them cheaper anywhere else.

When it comes to building a machine that lasts, KitchenAid surpasses the competition. The electronic speed sensor mentioned earlier lets cooks maintain a consistent mixing speed so as to not over-mix anything. This sensor works even while you add ingredients! As a protective measure, the motor also can detect potential overload and will shut down automatically when this occurs to prevent overheating. The durable all-steel gears within also help ensure that the mixer can handle the toughest of recipes.

Let me show you what current owners have to say about it.

Dylan Vogt,

Love my KitchenAid!,

After purchasing my KitchenAid this past year, I can't imagine being without it! Whether I am making bread or pasta dough, preparing meatballs, or whipping mashed potatoes, this mixer does it all.

I debated between the 6-quart or a smaller size before ordering and I am happy to have invested a bit more for the larger bowl. If you're planning on running double or triple batches of your favorite baked good, the larger machine has no problem handling a large amount of dough. I can easily make 55+ cookies after only one mixing session.

The KitchenAid also provides a number of convenient speed options that give the chef more control. I tend to only use the highest options (9 or 10) when whipping frosting for lady locks, Italian knots, or brownies, but it certainly gets the job done! Otherwise, the lower options are great for slowly mixing heavy amounts of dough or meat.

Conclusion:

Overall, the KitchenAid Professional 600 series 6-quart mixer is a good buy. Though it can be on the pricier side, it is built to last and can handle a variety of tasks. KitchenAid backs the mixer with a one year warranty for parts. The single-piece motor head and body makes it incredibly easy to clean and looks lovely in just about any kitchen.
